Patio 5 Villa

Handed over in 2017, Patio 5 Villa in El Shorouk, Cairo, brings a distinctive modern identity to 500 m² of indoor space and 300 m² of outdoor space. Arc In Space delivered the project on a turnkey design-and-construction basis, developing a material language that connects the villa’s principal living spaces with its more private rooms. The master suite is organised around an island bed and an open dressing area, while the master bathroom features white marble with diagonal cuts that give the stone a graphic rhythm. Throughout the villa, the character comes from the way materials meet: black Spanish marble, wood and painted surfaces are combined around the staircase, while strips of white marble, black Spanish marble and a wooden unit shape the television-wall composition. These contrasts give the home its modern expression, balancing the presence of stone with the warmth of timber and the restraint of painted finishes.
